Looking for a place to work remotely or study? Here are 10 Cafes in Da Nang that are perfect for digital nomads to get their productive and creative flow on.
We all know the feeling. You’re sitting in your home office, hotel room, or in your apartment, staring out the window at the same stretch of sidewalk you’ve seen a thousand times.
The sun is shining, but you might as well be stuck in a cave. Suddenly, your mind starts to wander. What if there’s more to life than this?
If that sounds like you, it might be time to consider a change of scenery. And we’ve got just the solution!
What’s the best way to spend your time in Da Nang? By exploring all the amazing coffee shops, of course!
This Vietnamese coastal city has no shortage of great places to get your caffeine fix, whether you’re looking for a place to catch up on some work or just relax with a book.
From hipster hangouts to sleek and modern spaces, there’s a cafe for every type of traveler.
Here are 10 cool cafes that are perfect for getting work done while enjoying the sunny weather and beautiful beaches of Da Nang. (If you prefer to go on a date or just chill, you can do that too!)
NOTE: These places are open, at least at the time we visited them (July to Oct 2022). I found some places we researched on Google Maps to explore were closed when we went to the location.
1. Z! Coffee & Roastery

This is a relatively new cafe, been open around Oct/Nov 2021. Has indoor and outdoor seating, greens, and great lighting for GSD. All of these features are also good for taking selfies 🙂
The ambiance, internet, and outlets are great for work, and the staff is so cheerful whenever I come! Definitely set me in the right mood every time.
Don’t forget the coffee!! It’s sooo good!
This place is my favorite !!! where ever we go, we always come back to this cafe.
(OMG, I guess this is my review for them!)
Here’s my husband’s review:

Address: 107 Hoàng Kế Viêm, Đà Nẵng Street, My An, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7AM-10.30PM, Daily
Telephone: 076 721 1620
2. Jan Bread n Coffee

Chill space, good coffee, friendly staff. This is one of my fave spots for getting work done. Indoor and outdoor seating. Staffs are considerate and attentive.
There’s a cute little fish pond with guppies too.
Note: I’ve been having issues with the wifi since typhoon Noru hit, so hopefully that’s fixed soon.
Address: 120 Châu Thị Vĩnh Tế, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7AM-10.30 PM, Daily
Telephone: 0357 120 122
3. Gardénia – Coffee n Bakery

We stumbled upon this cafe while we were trying to find another cafe listed on Google Maps… but we never made it to the other place because it looked like it was permanently closed. Guess where we went instead!
Lots of seating to choose from. You are definitely here to take photos. There are plugs to charge your devices and the internet.
It can get noisy when during the lunchtime peak period or when groups of people start showing up, so it’s better to go upstairs if you want to get work done.
I’d recommend coming in super early (before 9 am) if you prefer quiet time to focus.
Address: 45 Đường Lê Hồng Phong, Phước Ninh, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 6.30 AM-10.30 PM, Daily
Telephone: 0357 120 122
4. Dreamer Café

Dreamer is a popular café in Da Nang with a stunning garden area, and they host live music nights. They serve coffee, and various food treats through a caravan. This has an indoor and outdoor setting to enjoy the weather however you like.
The name “Dreamer” is appropriate because when you’re there, it doesn’t feel like you’re in the city at all. It’s the kind of place where you just might find your life purpose (if that’s what you’re looking for).
Warning: weekends at this spot are overcrowded with noisy families, so I’d avoid it at all costs if you want quiet time to focus.
Address: Number 2, Alley 220 Nguyen Cong Tru Street, Son Tra District, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7AM-10PM, Daily
Telephone: 0905288851
5. The Books Garden Cafe

This cafe is located right in front of the river. There is a designated area for computer use as the side tables are small (indoor).
The locals like to sit out front in the open area and face the river. In the quiet morning or evening periods, the outdoor area would be ideal for contemplating how awesome your life in Da Nang is or jotting down thoughts in your travel journal.
If you want to escape the heat, then there’s an indoor airconditioned area with a library of books (but w didn’t really see anyone reading them aside from the kids).
Address: 46 Bạch Đằng Street – P. Hải Châu 1 – Q. Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7 AM-10 PM, Daily
Telephone: 0236 2222 622
6. The Cups coffee

There’s something about this place that reminds me of Star Bucks, hmmm, what is it? – Oh, right, it’s the menu.
A quick search on Google Maps will reveal that The Cups Coffee is actually a coffee chain here in Vietnam.
This particular location is really close to the beach, so after a swim, you can chill at this cafe. (or be a good girl and hit the beach after you’ve got your work done!)
Address: Lô B20, 22 Đ. 2 Tháng 9, Hòa Thuận Đông, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7.30AM-11PM, Daily
Telephone: not found
7. Pine Coffee

This is a cute little cafe that has handmade bowls and pots for sale. Their coconut coffee is one of the best in the city and well priced too.
Address: 74 Lê Quang Đạo, P. Mỹ An, Quận Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng (it’s next door to the Full Market supermarket)
Opening hours: 7.00 AM-10 PM, Daily
Telephone: not found
Note: this cafe is currently not listed on Google Maps.
8. Grand T Coffee

A local coffee space that has a great setup for work and play. Upstairs have an airconditioned room which is definitely great for hot days. You can enjoy the outdoors seating as well, both downstairs and upstairs.
Address: 287 Nguyễn Chí Thanh, Phước Ninh, Hải Châu, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7.00AM-10.30PM, Daily
Telephone: 096 311 89 18
9. Lu Coffee

This place is where most “foreigners” hang out. That is the most I’ve seen in one cafe so far. (You’ll catch the occasional local in there too.)
Address: 62 Lê Quang Đạo, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7.00 AM-10.00 PM, Daily
Telephone: 096 311 89 18
10. Cloud Garden Coffee (wind Garden)

This cafe is so cozy and a hidden gem. Looking at the koi fish swimming in the fish pod is so mesmerizing. It definitely makes this spot a unique attraction in Da Nang.
The themed decor for each area as you walk through is pretty special too. I believe the entire place is decked out with recycled or upcycled material as they are an environmentally conscious space. (That’s rare here, from what I’ve seen so far.)
This is quite a local spot, not frequented by many tourists. There is also the option for indoor or outdoor seating.
Address: 62 Lê Quang Đạo, Bắc Mỹ Phú, Ngũ Hành Sơn, Đà Nẵng
Opening hours: 7.00AM-10.00PM, Daily
Telephone: 091 428 8818
